BHT and ethoxyquin are produced as:

Aqua

In aquaculture, BHT and ethoxyquin are used to stabilize fishmeal, fish oil and high‑fat compound feeds for fish and shrimp. They are added to the oil phase or directly into fishmeal to prevent oxidation of polyunsaturated fatty acids, which are essential for growth and performance. This helps maintain stable energy value, protects vitamins A, D, E and K, and reduces the risk of off‑odors and discoloration, which is critical for the quality of pelleted and extruded aqua feed.

Poultry

In broilers, layers and breeders, BHT and ethoxyquin are applied to stabilize animal fats, vegetable oils and vitamin premixes. In energy‑dense starter and grower diets for broilers, antioxidants help maintain consistent energy quality and prevent rancidity that can affect palatability and feed conversion. In layer diets, stabilization of fats and vitamin premixes supports preservation of the nutritional profile throughout storage and distribution, especially under warm climate conditions.

Swine

In swine nutrition, BHT and ethoxyquin are used to protect fats, oils and premixes in diets for piglets, grower/finisher pigs and sows. In piglet diets, stable fat quality reduces the risk of rancid odor and variable energy content, which is important for early growth and stable gut function. In grower/finisher feeds and sow diets, antioxidants help maintain the quality of fats and vitamin components over the entire usage period, supporting uniform feed conversion and consistent performance.
